This licorice has the taste
This licorice has the taste of the licorice of my childhood. I am constantly in search of special licorice that has the old fashioned taste and texture to it. With this licorice I think I have found what I am looking for. I just wish someone would produce the form of licorice that my grandfather used to share with me as a boy. It came in what looked somewhat like a cigar box and was packed with rectangular bars of licorice that was about 2"X4" and maybe 3/16 of an inch thick. They were wrapped individually in a parchment like paper. That is the Licorice I grew up on and just wish it would come back again. The taste of Gustaf's Soft Licorice is really close to what I just described.
