Here's a fun fact - Soap Bubbles are one of the oldest and best selling novelties and have been for many years. Although it is impossible to trace when they were first used as a toy, there is a painting by the Flemish artist Pieter Bruegel that dates back to 1560 -- yes, that is over 450 years ago -- that shows children blowing soap bubbles.
Fast forward about 380 years to the 1940's and a firm named Chemtoy decided to package bubbles and include a magic wand. Production costs were low and demand was high and it is rumored that over 200 Million Bottles - no, that is not a typo, we are talking about 200,000,000 -- are sold yearly!
